Anschutz 1712 AV Silhouette Features The Anschutz 1712 AV Silhouette is built on the Match 54 action an action long trusted in competitive rimfire circles for its smooth repeatable bolt cycling and reliable lockup shot after shot. The stainless steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 with an included thread cap giving shooters the option to add a suppressor for quieter range sessions without permanently modifying the rifle. A 1:16.5 inch twist rate is matched to standard .22 LR bullet weights for consistent stabilization and accuracy at typical silhouette shooting distances. The two stage trigger provides a light takeup followed by a clean predictable break letting competitive shooters place precise shots under time pressure. The walnut Monte Carlo stock is shaped to provide a proper cheek weld whether shooting with irons or a mounted optic and checkering along with sling swivel studs add both grip and practical mounting points for a sling. At approximately 7.3 pounds and 37 inches overall the rifle carries enough weight to stay steady in offhand silhouette positions without becoming fatiguing over a long match. The stainless metal finish resists corrosion keeping the rifle looking sharp through repeated handling and storage. For competitive rimfire shooters who want a purpose built silhouette rifle backed by Anschutz s reputation for precision manufacturing the 1712 AV Silhouette delivers proven accuracy in a classic package.
