Anschutz 1761 MSR Features The Anschutz 1761 MSR is built around the 1761 bolt action repeater system a design refined over decades for exceptional accuracy in .22 LR competition. A 5061 two-stage light trigger offers a crisp consistent break that allows shooters to focus entirely on sight alignment rather than trigger management. The 21.4 heavy barrel with a 1:16.5 twist rate stabilizes standard and match-grade .22 LR ammunition for tight groups at extended rimfire distances. This combination of a proven action and precision trigger makes the 1761 MSR a serious tool for silhouette and target competition. The rifle wears a blued metal finish across the receiver and barrel giving it a traditional low-glare appearance suited to competition environments. A walnut MSR-style stock provides a stable ergonomic platform designed specifically for silhouette shooting positions. At 8.82 pounds the rifle carries enough heft to stay steady during offhand and supported strings of fire without becoming fatiguing. For competitive rimfire shooters who demand Anschutz-level accuracy in a purpose-built silhouette stock the 1761 MSR delivers a proven system ready for the line.
