Anschutz 1712 AV Silhouette Features The Anschutz 1712 AV Silhouette is built on the Match 54 bolt action repeater a design long trusted in international rimfire competition for its smooth cycling and tight lockup chambered here in .22 LR. The 5109 two-stage trigger breaks cleanly and consistently giving competitors the confidence to press for precise repeatable shots. The 18 medium-weight tapered barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and ships with a thread cap letting shooters add a suppressor or leave the muzzle clean for traditional silhouette matches. A counter-bored crown protects the rifling from damage while eliminating the need for iron sight provisions on the barrel itself. The Monte Carlo walnut stock provides classic aesthetics along with a cheek position well suited to scoped silhouette shooting and the blued metal finish offers a traditional durable look. At 7.3 pounds the rifle carries enough weight to stay steady on target during offhand and supported positions common in silhouette competition. A 1:16.5 twist rate is matched for standard .22 LR ammunition supporting the consistent accuracy this rifle is built for. Anschutz s long-standing reputation in precision rimfire competition makes the 1712 AV Silhouette a trusted choice for shooters serious about the sport.
