"Women's Puma® Fast-R Nitro Elite 3: The Fast-R Nitro Elite 3 is Puma's race-day running shoe built for neutral runners who want to move fast on the road. At 4.7 ounces, it's light enough that you'll barely notice it on your foot, and the 40 mm heel stack gives you a responsive, energetic ride that holds up from the first mile to the last. If you're chasing a PR in a 5K, half marathon, or marathon, this is the shoe Puma built to get you there. The NITROFOAM™ ELITE midsole is nitrogen-infused foam that returns energy with each footstrike - so the faster you run, the more you get back. A full-length PWRPLATE carbon fiber plate stiffens the forefoot and drives a more efficient toe-off, which helps you maintain turnover when your legs start to fatigue late in a race. The ULTRAWEAVE upper is thin and structured, keeping weight low while holding your foot securely in place - breathable enough for warm race conditions without feeling loose. PUMAGRIP rubber on the outsole covers high-contact zones so you get reliable traction on road surfaces without any extra weight dragging you down. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I tested the Fast-R Nitro Elite 3 during a tempo run and the carbon plate made a real difference at faster paces - toe-off felt sharp and efficient the whole way through. The upper locked my foot down without any hot spots, and at 4.7 ounces I honestly forgot I had shoes on. If you're racing roads and want something that rewards you for running fast, this one's worth a serious look."" - Rachel, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Carlsbad, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're a neutral runner training for road races and want a lightweight, responsive shoe that performs on race day, the Fast-R Nitro Elite 3 is worth considering.
