"Men's Topo Athletic® Pursuit 3: The Topo Athletic® Pursuit 3 is a men's zero-drop trail running shoe built for technical terrain. With a 28 mm ZipFoam midsole platform, it strikes a balance between medium cushioning and a responsive, ground-connected feel - making it a strong option for trail runners who want protection underfoot without losing touch with the trail. The 0 mm drop keeps your foot in a natural position throughout your stride, which works especially well for runners who prefer a low-to-the-ground ride on rugged surfaces. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole handles the traction side of things well, gripping confidently across mixed terrain while the generously spaced lugs shed mud and snow quickly so you're not carrying extra weight through messy conditions. The FKT insole adds water resistance and helps the shoe drain fast when you hit wet crossings or soggy trails. A redesigned upper secures your foot without feeling restrictive, and the built-in hook and loop gaiter attachment system lets you add a gaiter when conditions call for it - a practical detail for runners who spend time on dusty or snowy singletrack. If you size up half a size as recommended, the fit feels intentional without being tight. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took these out on a rocky, rooty trail and the Vibram® outsole just locked in on every surface. The zero-drop feel takes a little getting used to if you're coming from a higher-heeled shoe, but once you settle in, the connection to the trail is really satisfying. The gaiter attachment is a small thing, but it's the kind of detail that tells you this shoe was thought through for real trail conditions."" - Dave, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you run technical trails and want a zero-drop shoe with enough cushioning to handle longer efforts without beating up your feet, the Pursuit 3 is worth a close look.
