"Women's Topo Athletic® Terraventure 5: The Terraventure 5 is a lightweight trail running shoe built for women who want to move confidently on technical terrain. Whether you're navigating rocky singletrack, logging miles on rugged hiking trails, or mixing surfaces on a long day out, this shoe gives you the traction and protection to keep moving without weighing you down. The 3 mm drop keeps your stride natural and grounded, and the fit runs a half size up - so sizing up is the way to go.The tightly woven mesh upper wraps the foot in a secure, breathable fit, while a dual mesh construction adds durability in the areas that take the most abuse on the trail. Underfoot, a 25 x 22 mm platform pairs moderate cushioning with a forefoot rock plate, so you get enough protection from sharp terrain without losing ground feel. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole handles wet rocks, loose dirt, and slippery surfaces with confidence. The FKT insole adds a responsive step-in feel, and the shoe is built with optimal drainage for stream crossings and wet conditions. A gaiter attachment system with hook and loop closure rounds out the package for runners who want to keep debris out on longer efforts. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took these out on a pretty technical trail with some wet sections and loose rock, and the Vibram outsole just gripped. What I also noticed is how secure the upper felt - no heel slip, no hot spots. The rock plate gives you that protection you need without making the shoe feel stiff. These are a solid pick if you're spending real time on the trail."" - Sawyer, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Wilmette ILWho It's Best ForIf you're a woman who trail runs or hikes on technical terrain and wants a shoe that handles traction, protection, and fit all in one, the Terraventure 5 is worth a serious look.
