"Women's Topo Athletic® MTN Racer 4: The MTN Racer 4 from Topo Athletic® is a women's trail running shoe built for runners who want to move quickly and confidently on technical terrain. Whether you're racing a mountain course or pushing the pace on a rugged trail, this shoe is designed to keep up without getting in your way. Topo Athletic® is known for footwear that respects natural foot shape, and the MTN Racer 4 carries that philosophy onto the trail with a fit that runs up half a size - something worth keeping in mind when you order. The MTN Racer 4 fits true to Topo's roomy toe box philosophy, giving your forefoot space to splay naturally as you navigate uneven ground. That extra room up front can make a real difference on long descents when feet tend to swell and shift forward. The fit is secure where it needs to be without feeling locked down, which helps on technical sections where foot feel and ground contact matter. If you're coming from a more traditional trail shoe and haven't tried a wider toe box before, the MTN Racer 4 is a good introduction to how that fit can change the way a trail shoe feels over distance. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I always point customers toward the MTN Racer 4 when they want something fast on the trail but don't want to sacrifice fit. The wider toe box is the first thing people notice - it just feels more natural, especially when you're a few miles in and your feet start to spread. Just remember to size up half a size before you head out."" - Sawyer, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Wilmette ILWho It's Best ForIf you're a woman who runs trails regularly and wants a shoe that balances speed with a natural, comfortable fit, the MTN Racer 4 is worth a close look. It suits runners who prefer a roomier toe box, appreciate a secure midfoot hold, and spend time on technical or mountainous terrain. This is a trail running shoe for women who take their off-road miles seriously and want footwear that moves with them rather than against them. VIP Family members can take the MTN Racer 4 for a 90-Day test drive with our Perfect Fit Guarantee."
