Underwood Ammo Rifle Ammunition Features The Underwood Ammo load in .444 Marlin drives a 335 grain lead flat nose bullet to a muzzle velocity of 2120 fps delivering the kind of heavy-bullet high-energy performance hunters expect from this classic big-bore lever gun cartridge. The flat nose profile is designed specifically for safe use in tubular magazines where a pointed bullet could risk contacting the primer of the round ahead of it under recoil. That same flat nose shape also promotes a wide wound channel and reliable penetration on heavy game at typical woods hunting distances. Shooters running a lever-action rifle chambered in .444 Marlin gain a load built around proven big-bore ballistics. Packed 20 rounds to a box this ammunition gives hunters a dependable repeatable load for sighting in and hunting season alike. Underwood Ammo has built its reputation on pushing traditional cartridges like the .444 Marlin to higher velocities while keeping pressures safe for modern lever-action rifles. The heavy 335 grain bullet weight favors hunters pursuing large tough game where penetration matters more than flat trajectory. For lever-gun hunters who want proven big-bore stopping power Underwood Ammo .444 Marlin is available for sale at GrabAGun.
