Thermacell Patio Shield Features The Thermacell Patio Shield uses a synthetic allethrin formula inspired by repellent extracts found in plants to emit a scent free vapor that drives mosquitoes away from a 15 foot zone around the unit. Because the repellent is airborne rather than applied to the skin there is no need for DEET sprays or greasy lotions making it a comfortable option for extended time outdoors. The formula has been independently tested and reviewed by the EPA for safety and effectiveness giving users confidence in both protection and peace of mind around people and pets. Protection ramps up quickly reaching maximum effectiveness within just 15 minutes of startup. Each unit is powered by a safe compact 12 hour fuel cartridge eliminating the need for batteries or power cords and making the Patio Shield easy to set up anywhere outdoors. The repellent mats last up to 4 hours apiece and change color as they near the end of their effective life giving a clear visual cue for when to swap one out. A full set of one 12 hour fuel cartridge and three 4 hour repellent mats ships with every unit providing enough protection for a full outdoor session right out of the box. Finished in a vibrant royal blue and backed by a manufacturer 1 year limited warranty extendable to 2 years with registration the Thermacell Patio Shield is a reliable companion for patios campsites and backyard gatherings.
