Thermacell Original Mosquito Repellent Refills Features The Thermacell Original Mosquito Repellent Refills work with fuel-powered Thermacell repellers lanterns and torches to establish a 15 foot zone of protection against mosquitoes. Each repellent mat lasts up to 4 hours while each fuel cartridge lasts up to 12 hours and the kit includes two fuel cartridges along with six repellent mats for extended use across multiple outings. The active ingredient 21.97 percent D-cis Allethrin has been independently tested and reviewed by the EPA for both safety and effectiveness against mosquitoes. This formula targets tough mosquito populations including those capable of transmitting Encephalitis West Nile Virus and Zika Virus. Because the system repels mosquitoes in the surrounding air rather than requiring sprays or lotions applied directly to skin it offers a DEET-free alternative for outdoor protection. The device operates without any visible flame or smoke making it scent-free and comfortable for extended outdoor use around people and pets. This refill kit is intended strictly for outdoor use matching the design of Thermacell s broader repeller lineup. For hunters campers and anyone spending extended time outdoors these Thermacell refills provide a convenient EPA-reviewed way to stay comfortable around biting insects.
