Taran Tactical Innovation 308 PMAG Base Pad Features The Taran Tactical 308 PMAG Base Pad is engineered to work with the magazine s stock spring eliminating the need for a replacement spring during installation. Its minimal 3.5 inch length addition keeps the magazine usable even from a prone shooting position a detail that matters for precision rifle shooters working from cover or a bipod. The patented push-pin design lets shooters simply pop off the follower insert at the base of the spring and slide the extension into place with no specialty tools required. This simple assembly process means less downtime between range sessions and faster fielding when it matters. Machined from billet aluminum and hard anodized for long-term durability the base pad adds just 4.16 oz while boosting capacity to 25+1 rounds on a PMAG20 or 31+1 rounds on a PMAG25. The added weight helps the magazine drop free more easily during reloads shaving time off transitions in competition or duty use. Built as a one-piece design there are no small parts to lose when swapping the pad between magazines in the field. For Gen 3 PMAG users looking for more rounds on tap without sacrificing handling this base pad is a proven upgrade.
