Streamlight Sidewinder X Military Features The Streamlight Sidewinder X Military steps up from the original Sidewinder s 55 lumens to a powerful 275 lumens on its white LED high setting with a 5 lumen low setting for close-range tasks that demand discretion. Colored LEDs in red green or blue depending on model plus an IR/IFF LED let the operator choose the right wavelength for night vision compatibility map reading or signaling without giving away a position. The 185 degree head to aim beam design lets the user angle the light head independently of the body keeping the beam on target even when the housing is mounted at an awkward angle. A rotary mode selector switch and multi-function push button give quick tactile control over output and color modes even under stress or in the dark. Built from high impact polymers and weighing just 4.4 oz the Sidewinder X Military is light enough for sustained helmet or body wear without adding fatigue. It ships with a helmet clip and E-mount so it drops straight onto existing Sidewinder helmet mounts and other compatible adapters for seamless hands-free integration. The hinged battery compartment accepts two AA alkaline batteries included in the box or a single 3-volt CR123A for a smaller more compact power option. An IPX7 waterproof rating means this light keeps working through rain mud and submersion making it a dependable choice for military tactical and outdoor professionals who need rugged hands-free illumination they can count on.
