Redding Reloading Instant Indicator with Dial Indicator Features The Redding Instant Indicator measures headspace from the datum line on the case shoulder letting reloaders confirm they have bumped the shoulder back the correct amount for a reliable chamber fit after resizing. A pre-mounted dial indicator typically reading to 0.001 resolution gives an immediate readout the moment a case is dropped into the gauge body. The 6.5 PRC-specific insert ensures the tool matches the exact dimensions of that cartridge s brass rather than relying on a generic gauge that may not fit precisely. This level of fit matters for long-range shooters who need their resizing process to produce consistent results round after round. Beyond headspace the Instant Indicator can also check case length growth and with an additional bullet comparator insert base-to-ogive bullet seating depth for tracking overall length consistency. Reloaders commonly use it to batch sort brass by shoulder position or seating depth helping identify outliers before they reach the chamber. The included instructions walk through setup and use making the tool accessible even for reloaders new to precision measurement. For 6.5 PRC shooters focused on repeatable accuracy at distance this gauge offers a direct way to verify their brass prep is on target.
