Knight and Hale Slate Hammer Features The Knight and Hale Slate Hammer pairs a natural slate striking surface with a durable injection-molded polymer pot giving hunters a call that produces clear authentic yelps clucks cuts and purrs. The polymer pot construction makes this call more resistant to damage than traditional wood pot calls a real advantage for hunters working rough or wet terrain. An economical price point makes the Slate Hammer an accessible option for beginning turkey hunters without sacrificing the sound quality that experienced callers demand. The included hickory striker is sized and weighted to work naturally with the slate surface. A scouring pad ships with the call letting hunters condition the striking surface as needed to maintain consistent tone and volume over time. Light pressure applied from the upper third of the call produces the most consistent pitches while the center of the surface yields deeper tones for varying calling situations. Handmade in the U.S.A. the Slate Hammer reflects Knight and Hale s reputation for producing dependable field-tested turkey calls. This call gives any turkey hunter a reliable way to work a gobbler from locating calls through the final approach.
