Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GLFA223 Features The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 is chambered in .223 Wylde a chamber specification designed to safely and accurately shoot both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition without compromise. Its 16 inch heavy barrel uses a 1 in 8 twist rate a versatile rate capable of stabilizing a wide range of bullet weights from lighter varmint loads to heavier match bullets. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and finished in Blue Titanium Cerakote and it ships with an included muzzle brake designed six degrees forward and wrench-tightened for consistent recoil control. A 7075 aluminum upper and lower receiver set keeps the rifle s overall weight to 6.8 pounds while maintaining the strength expected of a mil-spec build. A full-length 15.25 inch aluminum handguard with Picatinny rail on all sides gives the shooter ample real estate for mounting optics lights and other accessories as their setup requires. The rifle ships with no sights installed leaving the shooter free to configure their preferred optic setup from the ground up. A mil-spec polymer pistol grip and a 5.5 to 6 pound trigger pull round out the controls giving a familiar feel to anyone experienced with AR-pattern rifles. Configured to meet California state compliance requirements with a 10-round magazine this Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 gives California shooters a complete dependable rifle finished in a standout Blue Titanium Cerakote.
