Berry s Manufacturing Preferred Plated Features The Berry s Preferred Plated bullet starts as a swaged lead core that is then copper plated and re-struck in a process Berry s calls Double-Struck swaging and plating the bullet to its final weight before a second strike improves accuracy and dimensional consistency. This plating process gives the bullet much of the barrel-friendly benefit of a jacketed bullet without the added manufacturing cost which keeps the per-round price down for reloaders shooting high volumes. Because the copper plating fully encloses the lead core these bullets will not lead the barrel the way an exposed lead bullet can reducing cleaning time between range sessions. Rated to handle velocities up to 1950 feet per second the 110 grain round nose profile suits straight-walled .30 Carbine cases well. Berry s Manufacturing has built these bullets in house in St. George Utah for 50 years taking pride in a domestic manufacturing process that discerning competition and practice shooters have come to rely on. At an overall cartridge length of 1.680 inches when loaded these bullets are dimensioned for reliable feeding in .30 Carbine firearms. Packaged 1000 to a box this bullet count suits reloaders who shoot enough volume to justify buying in bulk rather than smaller quantities. For reloaders looking for an affordable accurate plated bullet for their .30 Carbine loads the Berry s Preferred Plated is for sale at GrabAGun.
