Berger Bullets Elite Hunter Features The Berger Elite Hunter bullet shares its hybrid ogive construction with Berger s well-known Hybrid Target line blending tangent and secant profiles to deliver a high ballistic coefficient of .559 (G1) and .287 (G7) at 108 grains. This sleek profile and increased sectional density of .261 give the bullet excellent energy retention as it travels downrange which matters for hunters taking shots at extended distances. Where the Elite Hunter departs from the Target line is its thinner J4 Precision Jacket engineered specifically for rapid expansion on game animals rather than target work. That jacket allows the bullet to penetrate 2 to 3 inches before opening into a devastating wound channel up to 15 inches long producing the hydrostatic shock that drops game quickly. Machined to a .243 diameter this 108 grain bullet pairs well with a wide range of 6mm cartridges popular among hunters and wildcat enthusiasts including 6mm Creedmoor 6mm BR 6x47 Lapua .243 Winchester 6mm Remington and 6XC. Its jacketed lead construction is easy to load and shoot giving reloaders consistent repeatable results across different rifles and chamberings. The reduced sensitivity to seating depth that comes from the hybrid ogive design simplifies load development letting shooters find an accurate load without excessive experimentation. Packaged 100 to a box the Berger Elite Hunter 6mm 108 Grain bullet gives hunters and long range shooters a proven high-performance projectile for their favorite 6mm platform.
