Berger Bullets Elite Hunter Features The Berger Elite Hunter bullet shares its hybrid ogive construction with Berger s Hybrid Target line blending tangent and secant profiles to optimize ballistic efficiency and minimize sensitivity to seating depth. This shared shape gives Elite Hunter bullets the same flat trajectory and reduced wind drift that competitive shooters rely on now applied to a hunting bullet. Where the Elite Hunter differs is its thinner J4 Precision Jacket engineered specifically to promote rapid expansion on game animals at extended range. The jacketed lead construction is designed to penetrate 2 to 3 inches before opening into a wound cavity up to 15 inches producing the hydrostatic shock needed for a quick ethical harvest. At 245 grains and a .308 diameter this .30 caliber bullet carries the mass and sectional density needed to retain energy well past typical hunting ranges. The boat tail hollow point profile further reduces drag in flight extending the bullet s effective range for custom long-range rifle builds. Reloaders get 100 bullets per box giving them enough projectiles to develop a load and still have plenty left for the season. For hunters and reloaders chasing extreme long-range performance on game Berger Elite Hunter bullets deliver proven Berger construction in a dedicated hunting profile.
