Berger Bullets Target OTM Features The Berger Target 69 grain bullet is built with a jacketed lead construction and an open tip match design a bullet style favored by competitive shooters for its consistent concentricity and accuracy potential compared to standard hunting-profile projectiles. At .22 Cal / .224 diameter this bullet is sized for the common .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO family of cartridges widely used in AR platform rifles. The 69 grain weight is specifically chosen to outperform lighter bullet options at extended distances with Berger citing superior performance at 300 yards and beyond where precision becomes critical to winning matches. This weight and profile combination gives handloaders a bullet tuned for the demands of long-range target competition rather than a generalist hunting role. Designed for magazine-feed applications this bullet s profile is engineered to function reliably through semi-automatic AR-platform magazines rather than requiring single-loading as some extreme long-range match bullets do. A 1:9 twist rate or faster is recommended to properly stabilize the 69 grain weight in flight a specification handloaders should confirm against their barrel before loading. Packed 100 to a box these bullets give reloaders enough supply to work up a load and run it through a useful number of practice and match rounds. For AR platform shooters and modern sporting rifle owners chasing match-grade accuracy Berger s Target 69 grain OTM bullet delivers a component built specifically for that purpose.
