Aguila Subsonic Features The Aguila Subsonic fires a 40 grain lead solid point bullet at 1025 feet per second a velocity deliberately kept below the sound barrier to reduce report. That subsonic performance makes this load a strong match for suppressed .22 LR rifles and pistols where a loud supersonic crack would otherwise defeat much of the sound reduction. The lead solid point design feeds reliably across a wide range of rimfire actions from bolt guns to semi-automatics. Consistent powder charges from Aguila help keep velocity and accuracy uniform from round to round. Rimfire shooters who train or compete regularly benefit from a dependable low cost load like the Aguila Subsonic especially when practice sessions call for hundreds of rounds downrange. The 40 grain bullet weight strikes a balance between accuracy and stopping power for small game and target work alike. Aguila has built a reputation for consistent rimfire ammunition manufactured to tight tolerances. For sale at GrabAGun the Aguila Subsonic in .22 LR is well suited to suppressed shooting plinking and high volume range days.
