Thompson Center Encore ProHunter Barrel Features The Thompson Center Arms Encore ProHunter Barrel is machined from steel and finished in a matte blued coating that resists wear while keeping a classic low-glare appearance in the field. Fluting along the barrel reduces weight without sacrificing rigidity helping balance the barrel on the Encore frame for steadier offhand shots. Rifled for slug use this 26 barrel is chambered for 12 Gauge with a 3 chamber giving hunters extended range and accuracy over a smoothbore shotgun barrel. The twist rate is tuned specifically to stabilize sabot slugs delivering tighter groups at hunting distances. Because the Encore system is built around interchangeable barrels swapping this one onto an existing Encore frame takes only seconds and requires no gunsmithing or special tools. Simply remove the forend tap out the barrel and frame hinge pin and the new barrel is ready to go letting one frame cover multiple hunting seasons and configurations. This barrel is for Encore frames only and is not compatible with Contender or G2 Contender actions so owners should confirm their frame type before ordering. Backed by Thompson Center s reputation as America s Master Gunmaker this Encore ProHunter slug barrel is available for sale at GrabAGun.
