Thompson Center Encore ProHunter Barrel Features The Thompson Center Arms Encore ProHunter Barrel is built in .410 gauge with a 3 inch chamber giving turkey hunters a tight effective option for working birds at moderate range. A fiber optic front sight provides a bright easy to pick up aiming point in a variety of lighting conditions an important feature when quick precise shots matter most. The barrel ships with a turkey choke already installed tightening shot patterns for the dense consistent coverage turkey hunters rely on at the moment of truth. Finished in blued steel the barrel resists corrosion while matching the look of the rest of the Encore platform. Swapping this barrel onto an existing Encore or Encore ProHunter frame requires no gunsmithing at all just removing the forend and tapping out the barrel to frame hinge pin to drop the new barrel into place. This interchangeable barrel system is the core appeal of the Encore platform letting one frame serve multiple hunting and shooting roles simply by swapping barrels. Because this barrel is built exclusively for Encore and Encore ProHunter frames it is not compatible with Contender or G2 Contender actions. For Encore owners looking to add a dedicated turkey hunting barrel to their lineup this factory built option delivers the fit and finish Thompson Center is known for.
