Thompson Center Encore Shotgun Barrel Features The Thompson Center Encore Blued Barrel takes advantage of the Encore ProHunter s interchangeable barrel system letting an existing frame be configured for 20 gauge turkey hunting without purchasing an entirely new shotgun. The 24 inch steel barrel is chambered for 3 inch shells giving shooters the option to run heavier turkey loads for extended range patterns on tough spring gobblers. A turkey choke ships installed in the barrel tightening shot patterns considerably over a standard field choke for the precise dense pattern turkey hunting demands. The classic blued finish protects the steel from corrosion while giving the barrel a traditional low glare appearance in the field. Fiber optic sights are built into the barrel gathering ambient light to create a bright easy to see front sight for fast target acquisition in low light conditions common during spring turkey season. This drilled and fitted sighting system speeds up aiming compared to a plain bead sight which matters when a gobbler closes distance quickly. Because the barrel is built specifically to fit the Encore ProHunter frame installation is straightforward for any owner already running that platform. The Thompson Center Encore Blued Barrel is available for sale at GrabAGun for Encore owners who want a dedicated 20 gauge turkey setup.
