Thompson Center Barrel Features The Thompson Center Barrel is machined from stainless steel and cut with spiral fluting along its 26 length reducing weight while still providing the rigidity needed for consistent slug accuracy shot after shot. Compatible exclusively with Encore Prohunter frames this barrel installs in seconds by removing the forend and tapping out the barrel and frame hinge pin meaning no gunsmithing or special tools are required. The rifled bore is purpose-built for slug loads rather than shot giving hunters a dedicated big-game option on their existing Encore platform. Hunters who already own an Encore Prohunter frame can add this barrel to extend their setup into slug hunting territory without buying a second complete firearm. The stainless steel finish resists rust and corrosion better than a blued barrel which matters for hunters who spend time afield in wet or humid conditions. A 3 chamber gives shooters flexibility across a range of 20 gauge slug loads and the barrel ships without factory sights leaving the option open for a scope mount. Because it uses the same interchangeable barrel system found across the Encore lineup this barrel is a straightforward way to build a multi-purpose Encore setup. Shooters looking to add dedicated slug capability to an existing Encore Prohunter frame will find this stainless fluted barrel a direct no-gunsmithing upgrade.
