Taurus TX9 Features The Taurus TX9 is built around the Taurus Modular System a serialized chassis that lets the shooter swap between full size compact and subcompact frame sizes without needing a separate serialized firearm for each configuration. Chambered in 9mm the pistol feeds from a 17-round magazine through a 4.5 inch barrel giving it ample capacity for both competition and personal defense use. An ambidextrous slide release paired with a reversible magazine catch means the TX9 works equally well for left and right-handed shooters without any modification. The pistol has no manual safety relying instead on the striker-fired trigger s internal safety mechanisms for secure consistent operation. Industry-standard dovetails house the TX9 s iron sights including a fixed white dot front sight and a blacked-out drift adjustable rear sight and those dovetails readily accept many aftermarket sight options for shooters who want to upgrade further. The slide is cut using the existing Taurus T.O.R.O. System making the TX9 optics-ready right out of the box for a red dot sight without additional machining. Textured polymer grip panels feature an oil rig engraving and three interchangeable backstraps let the shooter fine-tune the grip circumference to their hand size. Two magazines ship with the pistol and the hard anodized black finish throughout gives the TX9 a tough duty-ready appearance suited to daily carry or range use.
