Savage Axis XP Features The Savage Arms Axis XP delivers out-of-the-box performance thanks to a precision button-rifled 18 inch carbon steel barrel and thread-in headspacing two features that contribute directly to tack-driving accuracy without requiring a gunsmith s touch. The matte black finish on both the barrel and receiver resists corrosion and glare in the field while a drilled and tapped receiver keeps the door open for shooters who want to swap optics down the road. An updated bolt handle features a sleek ergonomic design that improves grip and control during cycling a real benefit when operating the rifle in rain cold or while wearing gloves. The detachable box magazine feeds 4 rounds of .350 Legend a straight-walled cartridge built for hunters in states with straight-wall ammunition regulations. A black fixed synthetic stock keeps the rifle lightweight and weather resistant standing up to rough field conditions without the maintenance a wood stock demands. This rifle ships with a factory-mounted and bore-sighted Weaver 3-9x40mm scope saving hunters the time and cost of mounting and zeroing their own optic before heading afield. At 7 lbs and an overall length of 37.5 inches the Axis XP stays maneuverable in a tree stand or ground blind without sacrificing the stability needed for accurate shots. The Savage Arms Axis XP in .350 Legend gives hunters a complete ready-to-shoot rifle package at an accessible price point.
