Savage Stevens 334 Compact Features The Savage Stevens 334 Compact is built around a matte black carbon steel receiver with an integrated recoil lug chambered in .308 Win and fed by a 3-round detachable box magazine for quick reloads in the field. Its 60-degree bolt lift with 3 locking lugs shortens the throw needed to cycle the action which speeds up follow-up shots on game that does not stand still. The 18.5 inch free-floating button rifled barrel carries an 11-degree target crown and a 1-in-11 inch twist rate both of which contribute to consistent repeatable accuracy shot after shot. A 2-stage adjustable trigger breaks crisply giving shooters a clean predictable release that helps tighten groups from field positions. The Turkish walnut stock gives the 334 Compact a classic look and feel while an ergonomic recoil pad helps soften felt recoil on the shoulder during a long day at the range or in the field. A steel MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail sits atop the receiver ready to accept an optic without additional gunsmithing. The 3-position safety offers a familiar intuitive manual of arms and two sling swivel studs make it simple to add a carry strap for the field. At 7.2 pounds and an 18.5 inch barrel the Savage Stevens 334 Compact is a lightweight accurate bolt rifle available for sale at GrabAGun for hunters and new shooters alike.
