Thompson Center Breech/Fire Channel Brush Combo Features The Thompson Center Breech/Fire Channel Brush Combo is purpose built for the unique cleaning demands of in-line muzzleloaders an area standard cleaning gear often overlooks. The breech brush is shaped specifically to scrub the breech plug and the barrel threads where it seats removing the fouling that builds up after repeated firing. Left unaddressed that fouling can interfere with proper breech plug seating and affect ignition reliability over time. Keeping this area clean directly supports consistent performance shot after shot which matters most when a hunter only gets one chance in the field. The fire channel brush complements the breech brush by targeting blockages inside the breech plug s narrow fire channel a passage that is difficult to reach with general-purpose cleaning tools. Clearing this channel ensures the ignition spark or flame reaches the powder charge reliably every time the muzzleloader is fired. Both brushes are built with durable construction meant to withstand the abrasive nature of powder fouling without breaking down after a few uses. Together this two-piece combo gives muzzleloader owners a dedicated reliable way to maintain the ignition system that standard cleaning kits simply are not built to address.
