Speer Hot-Cor Features The Speer Hot-Cor bullet is built around a manufacturing process in which molten lead is poured directly into the copper jacket fusing the core to the jacket for outstanding consistency from bullet to bullet. This construction method reduces manufacturing cost without sacrificing performance making Hot-Cor a favorite among reloaders looking for dependable results on a budget. The 140 grain spitzer soft point profile is designed for accurate flat-shooting performance paired with controlled expansion on impact. A .498 ballistic coefficient and .287 sectional density work together to retain velocity downrange and drive penetration on medium and big game. Measuring .26 inches in diameter this bullet is sized for 6.5mm rifle cartridges and reloaders should verify bore specifications before loading. The copper jacket and lead core combination is purpose-built for consistent terminal performance across a range of impact velocities from close to long range. Packaged 100 to a box these are component bullets for handloading only and are not sold as a finished loaded cartridge. Hunters and reloaders looking for proven accuracy and reliable expansion on game animals will find the Hot-Cor a trustworthy choice at the reloading bench.
