Hornady FMJ Features The Hornady FMJ handgun bullet is manufactured at 115 grains and .355 inch diameter matched precisely to standard 9mm reloading specifications. Its boat tail base design reduces aerodynamic drag in flight raising the bullet s ballistic coefficient and delivering a flatter trajectory along with improved performance at longer handgun distances. The full metal jacket wraps the bullet entirely except for the exposed base giving it the durability needed to feed reliably through semi-automatic pistol actions without deforming. This construction has made Hornady s FMJ line a long-standing favorite for target shooting plinking and general practice ammunition. Sold in bulk 3000-count quantities this bullet is built for reloaders who go through large volumes of ammunition at the range or in competition. Hornady manufactures its FMJ bullets to consistent tolerances helping handloaders achieve repeatable accuracy from batch to batch. The boat tail profile in particular benefits shooters looking to stretch their effective range without switching to a more expensive hollow point or match-grade bullet. For 9mm reloaders looking for a dependable cost-effective practice bullet in bulk this Hornady FMJ is a proven choice.
