Faxon Firearms A2 Flash Hider Features The Faxon Firearms A2 Flash Hider uses the time-tested A2 prong design to break up and disperse muzzle flash helping preserve the shooter s night vision during low light or indoor shooting. Machined from steel and finished in a durable black nitride coating the flash hider resists corrosion and withstands the heat and wear of sustained firing. Threaded 5/8x24 to fit .30 caliber barrels chambered in .30 Caliber .308 Win and similar cartridges it installs onto most standard AR-pattern and bolt rifle muzzles with that thread pitch. At 1.75 inches overall length and roughly 2.25 ounces it adds minimal weight or length to a barrel while still delivering effective flash suppression keeping the rifle s balance and handling close to how it felt before installation. A crush washer ships with the flash hider letting a builder properly time and torque the device onto the barrel without needing a separate peel washer or shim set. Proper timing keeps the A2 prongs oriented correctly for both appearance and function which matters on a visible muzzle device like this one. Faxon s steel construction and black nitride finish are built to handle the heat cycling that comes with repeated strings of fire without degrading so the finish and fit hold up over years of range use. The straightforward thread-on installation means a home builder or an owner swapping out a damaged muzzle device can complete the job with common tools. For shooters upgrading or replacing a 30 caliber muzzle device this A2 Flash Hider offers a reliable proven design backed by Faxon s reputation for precision-machined rifle components available for sale at GrabAGun.
