Faxon Firearms Match Series Flame Fluted Barrel Features The Faxon Firearms Match Series barrel is machined 100 percent in-house from stress-relieved 416-R stainless steel for consistent material quality and dimensional accuracy. Its flame fluted profile cuts weight from the barrel while retaining the rigidity needed for match grade accuracy and the drop-in design is fully compatible with the Glock 17 Gen 5. Conventional button rifling with a 1:10 twist is fully stress relieved and allows a wider range of ammunition to cycle reliably including cast lead projectiles that polygonal factory barrels cannot handle. An 11 degree target crown at the muzzle protects the rifling and supports tighter shot groups downrange. A Salt Bath Nitride finish is applied to both the inside and outside of the barrel increasing lubricity extending barrel life and improving resistance to surface wear from repeated firing. Better-than-factory tolerances deliver a consistent tighter lockup than the OEM barrel which can translate to improved accuracy and feel. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 ready to accept a compensator or suppressor for shooters looking to expand their Glock 17 Gen 5 s capability. This Match Series barrel is a straightforward upgrade for shooters seeking improved accuracy and versatility from their Glock 17 Gen 5 platform.
