Faxon Firearms ARAK-21 Complete Upper Features The Faxon Firearms ARAK-21 complete upper is built around a gas piston operating system housed in a billet aluminum upper receiver giving shooters a cleaner running alternative to a traditional direct impingement AR-15 upper. The adjustable gas system lets the shooter tune the action to match ammunition suppressor use or personal preference which keeps felt recoil and cycling consistent across a wide range of 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem loads. A steel rail system shields the bolt carrier group from the elements and reduces wear over long strings of fire. An ambidextrous safety and charging handle make the upper equally usable for right and left handed shooters running any style of grip. The 16 barrel wears a durable nitride finish for corrosion resistance and easy cleaning backed by a 1:8 twist rate that stabilizes a broad range of bullet weights from lightweight varmint loads to heavier match projectiles. A Muzzlok muzzle device caps the barrel to manage recoil and muzzle rise during rapid strings of fire. The M4 style quad rail handguard gives shooters plenty of real estate to mount lights lasers optics and other accessories exactly where they need them. At 5.5 lbs and made entirely in the USA this complete upper drops onto a compatible AR-15 lower to deliver a piston driven rifle ready for the range or duty use.
