TekMat Ultra Cleaning Mat Features The TekMat Ultra Cleaning Mat is built with a soft thermoplastic fiber surface that keeps the rifle s finish free of scratches while working and its water-resistant fade-resistant dye-sublimation printing holds up to repeated exposure to solvents and oils over years of use. A thick 1/4 inch vulcanized rubber backing anchors the mat to the bench preventing it from sliding around during detailed disassembly work. The oversized 15 by 44 inch footprint gives plenty of room to lay out an M14 or M1A s parts without having to shuffle components around mid-cleaning. This combination of protection and workspace makes routine maintenance faster and less stressful. Printed directly on the mat is a detailed M14/M1A parts diagram with exploded views and labels giving owners a built-in reference for disassembly and reassembly. This is especially useful for newer owners who are still learning the rifle s internal layout while experienced shooters appreciate having the diagram on hand for less-frequent maintenance tasks. The mat rolls up compactly for storage alongside other cleaning gear making it easy to bring to the range or a gunsmithing bench. Durable and purpose-built it is a practical addition to any M14 or M1A owner s maintenance kit.
