What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I've taken this setup from packed tracks to untouched forest trails without swapping a single piece of it. The grip pattern finds traction without skins, and the step in bindings mean I'm moving in under a minute."Not every ski day fits neatly into one category, and the Fischer Spider 62 Xtralite XC Ski Package w/ Poles isn't built to make you pick. Start the morning on a groomed loop, drift onto a forest path when the mood strikes, and the same setup that felt at home on corduroy keeps its composure once the snow turns wild and unpredictable underfoot. An Air Tec wood core keeps the ski light without turning flimsy, and full length steel edges step in the moment a sidehill or icy patch demands real control. The Offtrack Crown base grips through climbs without a swipe of wax, so momentum carries into every part of the outing. Step In TURNAMIC bindings make transitions effortless, the XC Control boot holds a snug, breathable fit mile after mile, and the aluminum pole shafts stay dependable whether the trail underfoot is packed or completely untouched.
