"Men's Topo® Ultraventure 5 GTX: If you want a high-cushion waterproof trail running shoe that keeps your feet comfortable when conditions turn wet, the Ultraventure 5 GTX is built for mild to moderate terrain and road-to-trail routes. It is a neutral shoe, so it suits runners who want a cushioned ride without added stability features. Rainy mornings, damp trails, and the pavement connecting them all make sense here. The 35 x 30 mm platform uses a ZipFoam midsole, which gives you a comfortable ride with a lightweight response so the cushioning doesn't feel heavy. GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology provides the waterproof protection while preserving the signature Topo fit, which means dry-foot coverage without a restrictive feel. Underfoot, the Vibram Megagrip outsole delivers dependable grip on all surfaces, especially wet ones. The recycled mesh upper adds a strategically placed PU print for structure and durability in high-abrasion areas, and the universal gaiter attachment system lets you add a gaiter when conditions call for it.Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I wore these on a wet road-to-trail loop and my feet stayed dry, and the grip felt confident on slick surfaces. The cushioning is comfortable without feeling heavy, and the fit still feels like a Topo. Go up a half size when you try them on."" - Michael, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Seattle WAWho It's Best ForIf you run in wet weather and want a neutral, cushioned shoe that moves easily from pavement to mild or moderate trails, the Ultraventure 5 GTX is worth a look.
