Power Calls Wood Duck Mouth Call Features The Power Calls Wood Duck Mouth Call centers on a unique pan style toneboard that is purpose built to reproduce the wood duck s distinctive vocalizations rather than the broader mallard style sounds most mouth calls chase. A single Mylar reed sits against that toneboard to generate the realistic whines and squeals as well as the ear piercing high pitched shrills that draw curious wood ducks within range. The molded poly and acrylic blend construction keeps the call durable against drops and moisture in the blind while remaining lightweight enough to carry on a lanyard all day. This species-specific design philosophy sets it apart from generic duck calls that try to do everything and end up doing nothing particularly well. A worry free design keeps the call simple to clean and maintain after a muddy morning hunt so callers spend their time hunting instead of fussing with tuning or upkeep. Because the reed and toneboard setup is approachable this call is well suited to hunters of every skill level from someone picking up a wood duck call for the first time to a seasoned caller rounding out a lanyard of species-specific calls. The Rust coloration gives it a distinctive look that is easy to spot in a gear bag and the included clamshell packaging keeps it protected during transport and storage. For hunters targeting wood ducks specifically this call is a focused no-nonsense tool for the blind.
