Iver Johnson Semi Auto Shotgun Features The Iver Johnson semi-automatic shotgun cycles 12 gauge shells through a reliable gas action feeding from a 5 round magazine capacity for faster follow up shots than a pump or break action gun allows. The 3 inch chamber accepts both 3 inch magnum and 2-3/4 inch standard shells giving the shooter flexibility to run lighter loads for clays or heavier loads for turkey and waterfowl hunting. The 28 inch barrel is fitted with a vent rib that helps dissipate heat and reduces barrel mirage during long strings of fire while a bead front sight keeps the sight picture simple and fast. Mobilchoke style interchangeable chokes let the shooter tailor the pattern to the target and distance at hand. A black synthetic stock keeps the shotgun lightweight and weather resistant standing up to rain mud and rough field conditions better than a wood stock would. A rubber recoil pad softens the felt recoil of repeated 12 gauge shells and the 14.5 inch length of pull is sized to fit a wide range of shooters comfortably. At an overall length of 49 inches and a weight of 7 lbs 2 oz the shotgun balances well for walking fields or standing a blind all day. The combination of a vent rib barrel synthetic furniture and interchangeable chokes makes this shotgun equally at home on the sporting clays course or in the dove field.
