Iver Johnson Turkey Thug Features The Iver Johnson Turkey Thug operates as a semi auto 12 gauge shotgun cycling both 2.75 inch and 3 inch shotshells through its 24 inch smooth bore barrel. The semi auto action reduces felt recoil compared to a pump or break action gun letting hunters stay on target more easily for a quick follow-up shot if needed. A fiber optic front sight provides a bright fast aiming reference in the low light conditions common during early morning turkey hunts. The rear Picatinny rail is built for mounting a red dot or other optic and a sight groove machined into the rail allows the gun to be aimed without an optic installed as well. The shotgun s 2-piece pistol grip stock can convert to a pistol grip only configuration with the push of a button giving hunters the flexibility to run the gun in a more compact format when needed. A synthetic forend with a bottom-side rail allows for mounting a light or other accessory for hunts in dim conditions. Finished in black and holding 5 rounds the Turkey Thug ships with an extended extra full choke along with three additional internal choke tubes in full improved modified and modified constrictions. For turkey hunters wanting a versatile optics-ready 12 gauge with proven semi auto reliability the Iver Johnson Turkey Thug delivers a well-equipped package.
