German Precision Optics Passion ED Features The German Precision Optics Passion ED binoculars use extra low dispersion glass and GPObright lens coating technology to control chromatic aberration and push more light through the system producing a clear high contrast image in a range of lighting conditions. An 8x magnification through a 42mm objective lens strikes a balance between reach and brightness with a 5.25mm exit pupil and 18mm of eye relief that stays comfortable for eyeglass wearers. The roof prism design uses Schmidt-Pechan glass to keep the housing slim at 5.7 long and the 426-foot field of view at 1000 yards gives a noticeably wide immersive view of the surroundings. Close focus down to 6.6 feet lets the binoculars double for closer observation and an adjustable 56 to 75mm interpupillary distance fits a range of users. A magnesium micro-bridge body keeps the Passion ED lightweight at just 26 ounces without sacrificing the rigidity needed for a durable field optic. The rubberized exterior finish improves grip in wet or cold conditions and tough aluminum eyecup tubes are built to stand up to repeated outdoor use. Both fully waterproof and fogproof the binoculars are sealed against moisture intrusion whether glassing in rain or carrying through humid changing conditions. Finished in deep green the Passion ED ships in a custom-molded hard case for protected storage and transport and GPO USA backs the binoculars with a Spectacular Lifetime Warranty for lasting peace of mind in the field.
