Forster Products Headspace Gage No-Go Features The Forster Headspace Gage in .303 BRT No-Go configuration is a precision instrument designed to help gunsmiths and firearm owners accurately measure chamber headspace a critical safety check for any rifle. Headspace is the distance between the breech face and the base of the cartridge when the action closes and excessive headspace can allow unsupported brass to rupture during firing sending gas rearward toward the shooter. This gauge is machined from hardened steel to exacting SAAMI specifications ensuring it withstands repeated use without losing its precision dimensions. If a rifle s bolt closes on this No-Go gauge it signals that the chamber headspace may already be excessive and warrants further inspection by a qualified gunsmith. Most gunsmiths aim to chamber a rifle s headspace somewhere between the Go and No-Go dimensions making this gauge an essential companion to a Go gauge for a complete headspace check. This tool is indispensable when chambering a new barrel performing routine maintenance or evaluating a used .303 BRT rifle before purchase. The durable hardened steel construction resists wear even with frequent use across a gunsmithing shop s workload. Forster s painstaking manufacturing standards ensure this gauge delivers consistent trustworthy readings every time it s used. The Forster Headspace Gage for .303 BRT is available for sale at GrabAGun for gunsmiths and owners who take chamber safety seriously.
