CCI Ammunition HEVI-Bismuth Pest Control Features The CCI HEVI-Bismuth Pest Control load is built around bismuth shot alloyed and cast specifically for this centerfire handgun shotshell giving the pellets a density of 9.6 g/cc that closely approaches lead s downrange energy while remaining fully non-toxic. That density matters at the ranges pests are actually encountered where a tight effective pattern from a revolver barrel matters more than long-range reach. The #8 shot size spreads a dense pattern suited to small fast-moving targets like snakes rodents and other varmints at close quarters. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1050 fps the 112 grain payload leaves the muzzle with enough energy to put down pests quickly and decisively. Behind every HEVI-Bismuth shotshell is CCI s Catalyst primer a high-performance lead-free priming compound that ignites cleanly and consistently without introducing lead into the equation. Pairing that primer with the aluminum-cased shotshell design keeps the complete round free of lead from primer to payload an important consideration for anyone shooting on indoor ranges or in areas with strict environmental rules. The shotshell format lets a .44 Spl or .44 Rem Mag revolver already carried for defense or daily use pull double duty as a pest deterrent without swapping firearms. Packaged ten rounds to a box this CCI HEVI-Bismuth Pest Control shotshell is available for sale at GrabAGun for hunters ranchers and outdoorsmen who want a dependable lead-free option on hand for whatever crosses their path.
