CCI Ammunition Pest Control Features The CCI Pest Control HEVI-Bismuth load is built on CCI s proven centerfire handgun shotshell platform adapted specifically for dispatching dangerous and damaging pests at close range. Each shotshell is loaded with HEVI-Bismuth shot carrying a density of 9.6 grams per cubic centimeter nearly matching the downrange energy of traditional lead shot while remaining fully compliant with non-toxic ammunition requirements. The number 8 shot size spreads an effective pattern for small fast-moving targets like snakes and rodents encountered around homes barns and campsites. A muzzle velocity of 1150 feet per second gives the 115 grain payload enough energy to put pests down quickly at typical pest control distances. This load uses the Catalyst high-performance lead-free primer continuing CCI s push toward fully lead-free ammunition without sacrificing reliable ignition. The aluminum case keeps the overall loaded weight down and resists corrosion in the humid or dusty conditions where pest control work often happens. Packaged 10 rounds to a box this .45 ACP shotshell load is sized for property owners ranchers and outdoorsmen who want a quick-access option in a handgun they already carry. For anyone who needs a dependable low-collateral-damage answer to unwanted pests this CCI load delivers it in a familiar .45 ACP platform.
