Arken Optics SH-4J Features The Arken SH-4J is built around Japanese ED or Extra-Low Dispersion glass that reduces chromatic aberration at every magnification setting from 6x to 24x delivering a clearer more color-accurate sight picture than standard glass. Its VHR or Variable Hunter Reticle is a field-speed design with practical holdover marks that stay accurate across the entire magnification range because the reticle sits in the First Focal Plane. A red illuminated center dot aids low-light and transitional shooting powered by a user-supplied CR2032 battery. The 50mm objective lens gathers ample light for dawn and dusk hunting while the 34mm main tube requires 34mm rings or a one-piece mount for proper installation. The Arken Zero Stop elevation turret provides a positive toolless stop that lets shooters dial back to zero quickly after making corrections for distance. Elevation and windage turrets click in 1/4 MOA increments with 20 MOA or 8 MIL of travel per revolution offering 108 MOA of total elevation travel and 34 MOA of windage travel across four full revolutions. Counter-clockwise turret rotation increases elevation a detail shooters should confirm at zero before heading afield. At 3.5 inches of eye relief and 14.1 inches in length the SH-4J mounts comfortably on a wide range of hunting and precision rifles with a included sunshade rounding out the package.
