LMT Defense AR-15 .300 Blackout 8.25 Barrel AssemblyThe LMT Defense R-L7BX1B is an 8.25-inch .300 Blackout barrel assembly built for the MRP-L platform, and it is available at Battlehawk Armory for compact AR pistol and short-barrel builds. The chromoly steel barrel is chrome-lined and cryogenically treated, with a 1:7 right-hand twist that stabilizes both supersonic and subsonic .300 BLK loads. A pistol-length direct-impingement gas system with a low-profile gas block and straight gas tube keeps the profile short for suppressed or unsuppressed use.The assembly includes an A2-style flash hider on standard 5/8x24 threads and uses LMT's quick-change barrel interface that locks into the MRP-L upper with the proprietary two-bolt system. The short length and pistol gas system support maneuverable PDW-style configurations while retaining full .300 Blackout performance. Compatibility is limited to LMT MRP-L upper receivers; standard AR-15 bolt carrier groups with the correct bolt face will cycle the cartridge.LMT machines the barrel for the Monolithic Rail Platform so the handguard and receiver remain a single rigid unit. The 8.25-inch length is among the shortest LMT offers in .300 BLK.
