Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Features The Winchester Model 70 Featherweight runs on a controlled round feed action with a claw extractor a design that grips the cartridge from the magazine through ejection for dependable feeding under field conditions. Its 22 barrel carries a target crown and a 1:14 twist rate matched to the fast-moving varmint and predator loads typical of 22-250 Rem. The M.O.A. Trigger System breaks cleanly and adjusts for a crisp pull giving the shooter confidence on precise longer shots at small targets. A gloss blued finish on both the barrel and the drilled and tapped steel receiver gives the rifle a traditional polished look while still accepting a scope base directly. The satin finished AA French Maple stock is cut with classic Featherweight checkering and a Schnabel forearm a traditional silhouette that keeps the rifle s overall weight down for carrying through long days afield. A Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad absorbs recoil without adding bulk while the three-position safety gives the shooter a bolt-locked safe-with-bolt-operable and fire setting for different field situations. At 6.12 lbs and 42.25 overall the rifle carries easily over rough terrain without feeling under-gunned for 22-250 s velocity. The Winchester Model 70 Featherweight is for sale at GrabAGun built for hunters who want a classic-looking rifle that performs at modern standards.
