Thompson Center Contender Pistol Barrel Features The Thompson Center Arms Contender Barrel is chambered in .22 Hornet a classic varmint cartridge well suited to the 10 barrel length and 1-in-12 twist rate used here. Finished in a durable blued black chrome moly steel the barrel resists the elements while offering the accuracy expected from a factory Thompson Center build. Adjustable sights come installed from the factory giving shooters a usable sighting system right out of the box without needing to purchase separate irons. The barrel is also drilled and tapped for scope mounts so adding an optic requires no additional gunsmithing or machining. Designed exclusively for the TC Contender platform this barrel is not compatible with Encore frames so Contender owners can be confident it will drop directly onto their existing frame. Changing barrels is a quick process that only requires removing the forend and tapping out the barrel and frame hinge pin letting shooters switch calibers in seconds without tools. This modularity is part of what makes the Contender platform appealing to varmint hunters and plinkers who want to try multiple calibers on one frame. For Contender owners looking to add the classic .22 Hornet cartridge to their lineup this factory barrel offers a direct no hassle option for sale at GrabAGun.
