Thompson Center Contender Barrel Features This Thompson Center Contender barrel is built to match grade standards in .22 LR finished in a blued chrome moly steel that resists corrosion while giving the barrel its traditional appearance. A 1 in 15 inch twist rate is matched to the cartridge for consistent accuracy at typical .22 LR distances. The barrel is drilled and tapped for scope mounts letting a shooter add a red dot or scope without any additional machining. Adjustable sights ship with the barrel as well giving a ready to use iron sight option straight out of the box. Barrels for the Contender platform are not interchangeable with Encore frames so this barrel is purpose built for the Contender action specifically. Swapping it onto an existing frame takes only seconds removing the forend and tapping out the barrel to frame hinge pin rather than requiring any gunsmithing work. This makes it simple for an existing Contender owner to add a dedicated rimfire barrel for plinking small game or training without purchasing an entirely new handgun. The 10 inch length keeps the overall package compact and manageable for sale at GrabAGun.
