Thompson Center Encore ProHunter Barrel Features The Thompson Center Encore ProHunter Barrel is machined from stainless steel and fluted to reduce weight while maintaining the rigidity needed for consistent accuracy shot after shot. Chambered in 22 ARC with a 1:7 twist rate this barrel is built to stabilize the cartridge s full range of bullet weights for hunters and target shooters alike. Every barrel is test fired at the factory at 100 yards to verify it meets accuracy standards before it reaches the customer. A threaded 1/2x28 muzzle allows shooters to add a brake or suppressor for reduced recoil or sound signature. This barrel is designed specifically for Encore series rifles and will not fit Contender or G2 Contender frames so Encore owners can be confident it drops in without modification or gunsmithing. Swapping barrels lets a single Encore frame cover multiple cartridges without the cost of an entirely new firearm making this an economical way to add versatility to an existing setup. The stainless steel finish resists corrosion and stands up to field conditions better than a standard blued barrel. Encore owners looking to add the 22 ARC cartridge to their lineup will find this ProHunter barrel a straightforward accuracy-focused upgrade.
