Remington Premier Long Range Features Remington Premier Long Range ammunition in 7mm Backcountry is built around the Speer Impact bullet a 175 grain projectile that chemically fuses its jacket and core through an impact bonded construction designed to stop separation and retain maximum weight and energy on impact. That retained weight translates directly into deeper penetration and more reliable terminal performance on tough bodied big game at distance. A boat tail design paired with a rear adjusted center of gravity helps the bullet fly truer over long ranges reducing the wind drift and drop that can throw off a shot at extended distance. Muzzle velocity reaches 3125 fps giving the round a flat trajectory that simplifies holdover calculations in the field. The Slipstream polymer tip raises the bullet s ballistic coefficient to .549 among the highest in its class which keeps the bullet moving efficiently through the air and helps initiate expansion reliably across a wide range of impact velocities. Remington pairs this bullet with its own premium primers and propellants chosen specifically to perform consistently across the range of environmental conditions a hunter might encounter in the field. Packed 20 rounds to a box this load is purpose built for big game and long range hunting applications rather than casual target shooting. Remington Premier Long Range in 7mm Backcountry delivers Remington s most capable big game ammunition for hunters chasing distant tough bodied game.
